US Power Grid Undergoing Massive Green Energy Transition

We need the make drastic changes if we are to address growing concerns about our environmental conditions and alleviate the worsening climate change and global warming. And super powers need to lead the way so that third-world countries can try to emulate the change that needs to be done in the energy system of nations. And America is an upheaval in the power system that gears towards more efficient green energy. The United States electrical grid is the biggest interconnected machine in the whole world with 200,000 miles of high-voltage transmission lines and 5.5 million miles of local distributions spreading out and encompassing all states.

These distribution lines connect millions of homes, businesses and factories to power plants which optimizes energy into usable form. But the carbon footprint generated by this massive energy grid is also far to great and although the benefits far outweigh the consequences, our world is reaping the harsh effects of rapid industrialization. Scientist believe that the energy sector needs to balance fluctuating power flows from wind and solar generation plants and they also need to connect more renewable energy sources to electricity demand centers.

Firms stepped up to the challenge and Independent System Operators, which supplies energy to New York, New England and the Midwest region, added new and improved phasors, sensors and other devices that gives them unparalleled precision control over the power flow and utilize renewable energy. These firms will also switch to an advanced meter system that will show consumers the erratic changes in power consumption that can change dramatically during the day. This will give consumers proper incentive to be conservative with their power usage and show them  their bills as they rack up everyday. Third-world countries should also try to implement the same strategies to address their energy concerns.
