Brack Obama Lays Out Future Plans for Deep Space

The final frontier or the deep space holds many questions and also many answers about the infinite universe we live in. The Earth is but a microscopic speck of dust compare to grand design of the whole infinite space and beyond and there are still more that we can discover, knowledge that could prove to be valuable in the future especially now that we are capable of venturing far and wide with the latest in astronomical technology. And a stable, practical as well as feasible plan must be developed to ensure that we are efficiently using millions of dollars in searching for answers that cannot be found in our own little planet.

And speaking in NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, United States President Barack Obama outlined his revitalized and modified plans for deep space exploration in the coming years. And he stressed that there will be no more voyages to the moon but he declared that he is setting his sights on sending astronauts to an asteroid by 2025 as well as orbiting around Mars a full decade later. He is also opening the doors to private companies and is in fact encouraging their participation in ferrying people as well as cargo in the decades to come.

Included in Obama’s plan is an additional $ 6 billion dollars to the regular NASA budget over the next five years and this funding will be dedicated to research and development of futuristic technologies in an effort to design new space transportation vehicles. Opening the infinite final frontier to private space companies as well as releasing NASA monopoly of space transportation will significantly lower the cost of launches and the savings could be used by NASA to develop better equipment and vehicles for their astronauts.
